CD Chatter - - - Chet Renskers
Well, Chapter H is
off and running this new year with the undaunted braving the
uncertain weather on the 1st. Blaine was socked in, so Kathy and I did
not make it. A scuba suit was needed just to get out of town.
The calendar is filling up real fast with events and rides. A number of
dates are still open for ride suggestions, but Dave will be filling
those up shortly.
During the planning meeting, it was requested that we try to
incorporate more riding, overnight rides, and other activities. The
calendar will reflect this change, mainly changing the every Friday
night dinner rides to roughly every other Friday (Check the Chapter
Calendar). With the following Saturday's having a planned ride to parts
known, or unknown at this time. Basically, more riding planned for the
coming year. The destinations we like to go for eating will still be
visited, but some will be incorporated on the way home, or on
the route. The schedule is put together so that a change in plans can be
made very easily.
If you have any ideas for a ride, let Dave VanKirk know. Please
keep in mind that a number of riders still work, so the schedule may
need to be tweaked a little so that the most people will be able to
participate. I am really looking foreword to this change in the
schedule, as it can be modified very easily. We are fortunate that we
have riders & co-riders that have traveled and can show us some
new territory and trails.
We seem to have one of the most active chapters around, and
are looking forward to this new year. We are ready to go now.
