25 - Chapter Ladies Luncheon - Noon, Hilltop Restaurant CD Chatter - - - Chet Renskers With the advent of good weather, our chapter is off and running once again. As you can see, we are the only chapter highlighted in the July district newsletter with pictures and all. Once again we can be very proud of our chapter's participation in training exercises and parades. A major goal of the rider education section is to highlight public awareness so everyone is safer. But another idea arises; what better way to create a positive image than to appear in hometown parades, show'n shines, and rider training where the public can see us? Our GoldWings are definitely awesome and impressive when all shined up and on public display. The feedback from people after a parade really makes me glad I am associated with GWRRA and this chapter. The positive comments and questions from individuals shows a new level of awareness just by us appearing in an event. It may be a long time in the making, but we all are impressing people whenever we are " showing our stuff". I hope all the chapters will continue to use this venue to show what we are all about. Chapter WA-H is in an unusual position by having Canadian friends who participate with us a lot, which is another indicator of our comradeship. There is something to be said of seeing a line of GoldWings in a parade or on a ride, and then your neighbors and others commenting on our group to their friends in a positive way. Well enough of this, we have fun and that's what it's all about. Because Kathy and I are going to show the rest of the country what a good ride looks like starting Feb. 2011, a new chapter director will need to be installed by January. If you are so inclined, please contact me. Chet
