CD Chatter - - - Chet Renskers If you have any questions on that, call me at home after work times. . . . As the above schedule outlines, we are starting into the summer at last. The first dinner ride followed by our maintenance day. Ron and Betty will have more at the meeting for us, but plan to attend if at all possible. This is a day of turning wrenches, having fun, and eating good food. Some of our group have already made it over to Winthrop, the rest of us will have to wait for better weather. One cancelled trip so far, but more coming up. Our Chapter attended 2 Fun Runs last month, each was well attended considering the weather and other goings on. I feel that we are off to a good start. No problems or breakdowns, so I feel that this is an indicator of good rides to come. The only event we had was during the Lime Run, one of the Wings near the back got stuck in a Roundabout and had a time of it getting out. Our tailgunner reacted admirably, and figured that they would eventually get out and catch back up. Thankfully, everything worked out okay, and the Wing rejoined the group. Two couples attended the OCP training for officers, and they will be talking briefly about that at the meeting. I have talked a little about this before, so again, if anyone is interested please contact me. Our rider education programs are off and running with good attendance, and many having a good time participating in the events. There are more opportunities for training that our educators are working on and will have more information shortly. With our schedule being printed well in advance, I hope everyone will be able to attend the functions that are planned without too many conflicts. It looks like an exciting year, and Kathy and I are really looking forward to all that we have planned. So lets all do a sunshine dance and we'll look for you on the open road. TECHNOTE: Here is a great
discussion of the GL1800 suspension. I have always wondered why I liked the
ride at the maximum preload setting...this might just be why. See

Coordinator - Dave VanKirk
Hi Chapter H: A few weeks ago I sent to our group a
message of information about the upcoming July 3-5 ride to Oregon. I am continuing
to put together info for the trip. Again I am asking for you to give me a
yea or nay. Knowing will help me finish with reservations etc. Remember
if some of you brave hearts are interested in any of the aerial rides I
have told you about then you must individually purchase tickets from the
site on the brochures which I gave out at the April meeting. Anyone not
there who could be interested please get in touch with me.
Our August week long ride will be to Banff/Jasper. The IceField
Parkway is between those two locations and it is an awesome days ride. I
have pre ridden the major part of this trip a few years ago. We have
planned to be gone Aug 7 or 8-15. I say 7 or 8th due to a wedding one of
our party should be at on the 7th. Marcia and I need to be in Spokane on
the 6th and 7th so we will meet up somewhere in Northern Wa or Id area.
This will be a camp trailer or tenting trip. 1/2 the nights will be in
Provincial Parks and room rentals are very high! The other 1/2 of the
nights could be in motels. More info to follow. I hope you can join us.
