CD Chatter - - - Garry
Calman
To start with I would like to thank the following chapter
members for taking their time to be on the chapter H staff from 2006
to 2009.
Rick and Jean Seater ACD, Chet Renskers Rider Educator, Randy Reid
Spiritual Leader, Assistant Rider Educator and ARC Instructor, Betty
Robertson Treasure, Ron Robertson Awareness, Kathy Renskers
Newsletter Editor Plus, David VanKirk Ride Coordinator, Pam Munro
Stores, Jeff Kelton Web. Master - a job very well done from a
distance. I would also like to say Thank You to Erv Jarl and Ray
Hunter for helping with the 50/50 tickets and again, I would like to
thank Edith Burke for helping out at the rally and always having a
smile and kind words of encouragement, no matter what the situation
was. I would also like to Thank my Wife for putting up with me
over the last 3 years and for checking my spelling before I made up
Flyers and such.
As this chapter
in my life comes to a close I have only one thing to say and that is I
think I could have done a better job. Looking back over the last 3
years I see things that could have made a difference in the chapter,
but it is time for new leadership. The chapter needs to look forward
not backwards and strive to increase the number of chapter
participants. To increase the number of members YOU as members
need to get out and talk to people that ride any type of Motorcycle. It
dose not have to be a GoldWing if they are the type who you think
would fit in the chapter and would mix well with others. Invite
them to a dinner meeting or for a ride. You might be
surprised with what you get.
The last thing is to BACK
Your Chapter Director all the way. Work with him not
against him - you will only make the Chapter stronger.
It has been a real pleasure
to meet all the new members and may God bless all you do and the
riding you do.

CD Chatter II - - - Chet Renskers
Well, we are off to a flying start as your new CD. As
you can see, we have some very qualified people that are filling the
various positions within the chapter. A lot of things will not be
changed, just a few modifications that are necessary due to the
increase in membership. Gary and Judy have brought in new members, and
we just need to continue the friendly atmosphere that we are known
for.
Gary let the various positions pretty much handle there duties on
their own, with input for guidance. I hope to continue this policy,
because it seems to be working.
Randy and I hope to increase the rider education program now that we
have our own instructors. Randy as an instructor, myself as a seminar
presentator, with Terry to assist as needed. Our chapter also has a
special new position in education that will be explained at the
meeting.
Some of the other positions will be expanded. We have grown a lot in
the last few years, and our ride coordinator has been doing a great
job. Even though this position is a fairly new one, Dave has a lot of
great ideas he wants to continue pursuing, and also expand on from
last year. One thing I picked up from the leadership classes was
" if it ain't broke, don't fix it." We have a great
chapter, and with the continued participation, hope it will get even
better. CHET (renskers@telcomplus.net)
