Friday 0830 departure to I5, Hwy 2 to 97 to Yakima @1500.  Stevens Pass was bare and dry, 43 degrees.  Wine tasting at Kana downtown Yakima

(www.kanawinery.com). Good white table wine for only $10/bottle (sale).

 

Next morning 0830 dep  west to Hwy 12 over White Pass.  Most scenic.  Then Hwy 7 north to Eatonville (also a great ride) and

162 to Enumclaw, then 202, 203 to Carnation and Monroe.   Hwy 2 west to 9 where there was a multi-motorcycle accident that

closed  Hwy 2.  We saw 3 helmets and mangled bikes.  Looks like they merged on 2 East and mixed up with something big.  Then back to I-5 and the grind north. 

 

Great weather for the entire two days.  I suspect that every motorcycle in Western Washington was on the road somewhere, 'cause we passed a gazillion.  634 mile r/t.
